Pratima Foundation Trust has been made in the memory of great Teacher, Educationist, Philanthropist, Philosopher, Writer and Poet Pratima Parhi for the advancement and enrichment in the field of Art, Craft, Culture, Alternative Education, Literature, Science and Health to be shared with broader creative community.

In short, it will work for learners across age. As an educationist and a teacher of alternative education for 35 years, she has done extraordinary work for children, teachers, students, parents, common people and educators. Many stories, plays, songs, quotations, life lesson diaries, learning materials, research articles and documents she wrote. All those works will reach you in the form of books, learning kits, podcasts and videos.

Above all, as a simple, loving, courageous, caring human being and an all time giver, she always wanted everyone to be happy. We will try our best to bring that little happiness into your life.

Pratima Agasti was born and brought up in a coastal village of Odisha named Bhairabpur in Basudevpur block of Bhadrak District on 4th May 1965. She is popular in her childhood name 'Dali'. In April 1984 she got married to Jitendra Kumar Parhi and collectively made an Alternative Education Centre (Integral School) in the village Bishnubindha on their parental land. There in the beginning years till 2000 she was known as 'Bhauja' and later as 'Mira Apa'. Despite being a mother of two children (Daughter Sumitra and son Biswabhusan), she always concentrated on all the students of the Education Centre neglecting her own. She served as a cook, teacher, gardener, care taker, emotional supporter and educator for 35 long years to them. Her absence is an irreparable loss in the field of integral education as well as alternative education world.

For those who love her immensely, she is still there with us, so no date of her departure is mentioned anywhere here. She is with us through her outstanding works.
